Chakib Alj, the new president of the CGEM and Mehdi Tazi, his co-listier, elected as vice-president of the Moroccan employers’ association, have officially constituted the team that will assist them in their task for the mandate that has been assigned to them until 2023. The information is revealed by Aujourd’hui le Maroc, in its February 12 edition. This team aims to be multidisciplinary, inclusive and representative of Moroccan companies regardless of their turnover, their sector of activity and the region in which they are located. This is what the members of the board of directors of the CGEM affirmed during a meeting on Monday, February 20 at the headquarters of the employers’ organization. This was the first CGEM board meeting, chaired Chakib Alj and Mehdi Tazi, elected two weeks ago at the head of the confederation, after a quasi-pluralist vote, during which they received 96.18% of the votes. This first board of directors chaired by Chakib Alj has defined the members of 16 permanent commissions, instead of the 26 that existed previously. The “international” commission is now chaired by Badr Alioua, while Mohamed Bachiri, who led the CGEM on an interim basis during the transition period following the surprise resignation of Salaheddine Mezouar, will lead the commission on “innovation and industrial development” for the new direction that the management intends to give now at the helm of the employers.
